Ordo Byzantinus Sancti Sepulchri​

Prof. Leonie Baldacchino is a distinguished academic and esteemed leader in international educational, chivalric and humanitarian spheres. She holds a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship, an M.A. in Creativity and Innovation, and a B.Psy.(Hons.), and she serves as Pro-Rector for Internationalisation, Enterprise & Outreach at the University of Malta. 

 
In December 2023 she succeeded her father, Grand Duke Prof. Alfred Josef Baldacchino (Prince High Patron – OBSS), as Grand Master of the Ordo Byzantinus Sancti Sepulchri (Byzantine Order of the Holy Sepulchre – OBSS). In this capacity, she spearheads initiatives and activities that blend traditional chivalric values with modern humanitarian, social, and cultural activities that range from fundraising events and artistic expositions to presiding over Investiture Ceremonies where new Knights and Dames are admitted into the Order. Her international collaborations are notable for promoting goodwill, humanitarian causes, and cultural preservation to advance the Order’s mission.

Her academic career advances understanding of entrepreneurship and creativity, while her role as Grand Master of OBSS extends her commitment to service, heritage, and positive societal impact on a global stage.
